About This Course

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a commonly encountered issue among gynecologists and other health care professionals globally. There is a need of a course to describe the condition based on the current evidences and guidelines from the experts in the field. This course will help practitioners to strongly grasp the factors involved in onset, screening, and further plan an effective therapeutic strategy for their patients.

Dr. Abha Rani Sinha

M.D. (OB-GYN)

Dr. Abha is a professor of OB-GYN at SKMC, Muzaffarpur. She is also the governing council member of ICOG, 2021-2022. She has been the president of the Patna OB-GYN society, 2017-2018. She has also been the chairperson for the FOGSI quiz committee, 2015,2016. She is currently the national corresponding editor, JOGI, 2021-2023.

Dr. Abha is the vice-president of ISOPARB (Patna Chapter). She has teaching experience in undergratuate and post-graduate of more than 25 years. She also has publication in national and international journals. Dr. Abha has also contributed chapters in FOGSI publications. She is the associate editor of the book 'Quiz in OB-GYN' and the joint organising secretary of AICOG, 2014. She is a master trainer in FOGSI Emoc. Her special interests lie in high risk pregnancy.

Dr. Hema Divakar

M.D. (OB-GYN)

Dr. Hema is a consultant, OB-GYN and medical director and Divakar's Speciality Hospital, Bengaluru. She has been the president of FOGSI since 2013 and the organising chairman of AICOG since 2019. She is also the Chief Executive Officer of Asian Research and Training Institute for Skill Transfer (ARTIST) and the FOGSI ambassador to the Federation of International Gynaecologists and Obstetricians (FIGO).

Dr. Priti Kumar

M.D. (OB-GYN)

Dr. Priti Kumar is the chairperson of the Safe Motherhood Committee, FOGSI. She has also been the organising secretary of AICOG in 2020, the organising secretary of FOGSI GESTOSIS in 2019, the organising secretary of IAGE in 2018, and the secretary of Luncknow OB-GYN society. Dr. Priti is the north zone co-ordinator for the Adolescent Health Committee, FOGSI.

Dr. Priti has been the organising secretary of the North Zone Yuva FOGSI in 2017, the organising secretary of NARCHI conference in 2014, and the organising secretary of UPCOG in 2013. She is also the vice-president at the Association of Private Gynaecologists, Lucknow. She is the consultant OB-GYN and King George's medical college in Lucknow.
